Many situations call for emergency action to prevent life-threatening complications. When it comes to deliveries, labor never begins when you expect it. Depending on location, traffic, and a host of other factors, it may not be possible for an expectant mother to drive herself to the hospital if she’s gone into labor. While many hospitals have a 24/7 ward for pregnant mothers, getting there is the issue.
In these situations MedStar is ready. Our owners, Nicholas and Gregory Melehov, ensure that our teams are prepared to handle an extensive amount of emergencies every day, so we’re ready 24/7. In these tense situations, our team knows that there isn’t time to drive to a hospital or deal with traffic, so we prepare to deliver on the scene. These situations can be demanding and stressful, so we make sure that we’re always prepared, anytime and anywhere.
Nick and Greg Mehelov know that patients would prefer to give birth in a hospital, so we’ll do everything in our power to get them there. However, when the situation is too dire to attempt such a feat, we’re ready to deliver to protect the mother and child.
Flexibility and Emergency Situations
Sometimes a patient needs specific treatment depending on physical location and current stage of labor. We will provide any necessary medical services to ensure the health and safety of the mother and child. These procedures are typically needed in times of emergency during childbirth, so our team is well prepared to administer them should the need arise.
While we would prefer to administer such treatment in a hospital setting, we will ensure the safety of the mother and child are the utmost priority. If we deem that we cannot provide the necessary treatment in the field, we will take the necessary steps to ensure the safe transport of the mother and child. These situations demand flexibility, so if we need to contact other emergency services we will do everything in our power to do so.
