MedStar offers three levels of medical transport services :
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for less critical medical situations
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) for 911 calls and other critical emergency situations that may involve serious or life-threatening injuries
- Wheelchair Van and Specialty Bus Service to transport non-emergency patients to appointments and events
Our BLS ambulance service providing transport services is ideal for less critical medical situations in which the patient still needs the services of an ambulance and emergency care providers. Our BLS ambulances are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including an automatic external defibrillator (AED) for heart attacks, blood pressure monitoring equipment, pulse oximetry and oxygen delivery devices to handle the comfort and medical care needs of every patient.
For more basic daily transport services requirements, our wheelchair vans accommodate the non-emergency needs of patients going to and from appointments, family gatherings, and group events. Our specialty transport bus is capable of transporting multiple patients to different activities and is staffed by our attentive wheelchair van operators.
Unfortunately, there are incidents and situations that call for more sophisticated and critical emergency medical care and transportation. For those times there are MedStar’s ALS transport services that provides immediate, skilled medical care from our highly-trained and experienced paramedics utilizing our top-of-the-line Zoll X series monitors and HT-70 ventilators to help ensure the best outcomes for patients facing life-threatening injuries or illnesses.
